Wallace finds his "Inner Pro” at Sweat Camp
Keith Wallace has always been a big guy and has always been an athlete. Active in sports since 2nd grade, he’s logged ample time between various gyms and the football field. So how is it that just one year ago, he stood in front of the mirror carrying 282 lbs. with 32% body fat?
"I exercised, but I was doing the same exercises every time,” Keith said. "I hopped on the elliptical, pushed weights and focused on the muscles you could see. But my workouts were ineffective.”
It wasn’t until Keith found Lex Bannister’s Sweat Camp that he finally broke the code to turn it around. He now weighs 230 lbs. with 23% body fat. That’s weight loss of nearly 50 pounds – and more importantly – a 9% reduction in body fat in one year!
After doing two promotional workouts in Dec. 2008, he knew Lex’s type of fitness bootcamp is what he needed. His initial goal of just getting through Sweat Camp manifested into a drive to improve with each class as he got stronger. He now looks forward to going to classes and can do core-building maneuvers that were impossible for him before. "Last year I got in shape and this year I’m training harder,” he said. "It really has transformed my life in a lot of ways. I now understand what Lex says when he talks about your ‘Inner Pro.’ I’m more motivated to be better at everything I do now. I try to be better at work, better at how I eat, a better husband … a better person in general.” |

Keith says in addition to learning how to exercise by incorporating cardio, core muscle exercises and weights, he has much healthier eating habits than before. Portion control has become a key lesson for him, and he’s traded the copious amounts of bread, cheese, chips and pizza 1-2 times a week with more fruits and vegetables. He also complements his diet with Lex’s Advocare line of supplements. He focuses on the products that include amino acids and protein to help maintain his strength and aid in post-workout recovery.
"I started adding supplements in the middle of last year. They haven’t changed my weight, but the shape of my body has changed as far as becoming leaner,” Keith said. "Also, when you know you have the fuel, you push yourself harder.”
